Alice Sebold är resignerad

Hos Läsdagboken hittar jag en finfin länk till en intervju med Alice Sebold, och där i mitten nånstans står det så här apropå kommande filmen The Lovely Bones:
”Sebold, who was not involved in the making of the film, seems resigned to the liberties that Peter Jackson, its director, has taken with her novel. Presumably to secure a PG-13 certificate in America, he has left the murder unseen and the rape unmentioned. Instead, using the imaginative power he displayed in The Lord of the Rings, Jackson has conjured up a teenager’s heaven. ”
Hm.
Författare får stå ut. Men ibland blir det bra, rentav bättre, ändå. Det verkar som att jag slipper blunda på bion i alla fall.
